Rite of the Blood Debt Many Garou are protective about their blood kin, as the families of Garou often find themselves in danger due to the presence of their shapechanging cousins. And much to the werewolves' regret, it is often the Garou themselves who are the greatest danger to their kinfolk. It is regretable, but on occasion a Garou will accidentally slay the kinfolk of another Garou while Frenzying or just through accident. This Rite was created by the Garou to help formalise the repayment for such a blood debt. It is usually only used when the offending Garou is willingly attempting to make amends to the Garou whose kin has been killed. When the Rite is performed, the victim's hands are mystically stained red. Only the Garou at the focus of the rite and the Ritemaster can clearly see the staining, although other mystic beings may sense it, or see the colour from the corner of their eyes. The stain remains, slowly fading, until the blood debt is paid in full. System: The players casting the Rite rolls Charisma + Rituals (diff 7). If sucessful, the receipient's hands are stained blood red to a varying degree - if the kin has not been killed, but simply hurt it may only be the palms which are discoloured, but if the Garou wantonly killed a number of kin, they may be visibly marked to the elbows.
